City Club Welcomes Wendy Womack-Phillips

Thank you for the opportunity to serve City Club of Baton Rouge. It is my pleasure to embrace the position of Director of Events & Catering.
I am a native of Louisiana and attended University of Louisiana, Monroe while obtaining a degree in Marketing.
Soon after graduating college; politics captured my attention and I became very active in campaign coordination, schedule organization, and public speaking. I organized many political events throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. During this time, I developed a following and crossed over from being a volunteer to professional event planner. As my clientele grew, my private event planning business gravitated toward focusing on: weddings, political fundraisers, charity events, Balls, parties, private events, and interior design for homes and businesses. From this exposure, I was recruited to be a National Sales Representative for multiple textile manufacturers. As a Sales Representative, I traveled extensively, nationally and internationally for 18+ years, representing various clients at large scale trade shows. I worked with international buying offices and was acting spokesperson for a host of manufacturing agents and wholesalers. My natural ability to mesh with various cultures and groups served me well in this role. Coordinating multiple groups of clients in one arena prepared me to effectively interact with a plethora of personalities.
While living in New Orleans, the prestigious Dickie Brennan Restaurant group was one of my many clients. Mr. Brennen recognized my unique flair and asked me to orchestrate several events for their group. I also had the opportunity to collaborate with Renaissance Interiors located in Metairie, LA, where I remained on staff for 10 years. My showroom designs now grace many distinguished homes nationwide.
A move to St. Francesville in 2017 afforded me the opportunity to gain employment as the Director of Sales and Events as well as the General Manager of The Bluffs Country Club.
This cornucopia of life contributes to my ability to produce unique, well rounded, high end events.
I am honored to be part of the City Club staff and I look forward to leading many exceptional, memorable events.
