Please Join Clean Pelican for a Downtown Ball Moss Pickup

Clean Pelican, in partnership with Councilwoman Laurie Adams, the City Club of Baton Rouge, Baton Rouge Green, LSU AgCenter, and community partners, will host a large-scale ball moss cleanup on Saturday, October 10, along North Boulevard and surrounding downtown streets.

The event will combine volunteer service with education on ball moss and urban tree care. Volunteers will meet at the City Club of Baton Rouge for a brief presentation and demonstration before safely removing and bagging accessible ball moss in designated areas.

Volunteers of all experience levels are welcome. Participants will work in designated areas near North Boulevard and surrounding downtown streets, removing and bagging ball moss that can be safely reached from the ground. Event organizers will provide instructions and guidance throughout the morning. Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable outdoor clothing and closed-toe shoes.
