We believe imagination is born in the heart. By engaging the imagination, we can unlock the hearts of children so their minds will be open to learning. With Manners of the Heart, children learn how to respect and esteem others, and in the process, gain respect for themselves. Self-respect translates into motivated, self-disciplined children with a desire to learn and a longing to become all they were created to be.

In the classroom, teachers utilize our collection of The Merryville Stories to engage the imagination of their students and inspire them to see beyond themselves and their circumstances. Wise Ol’ Wilbur the owl and his cast of critters present the complexities of life in ways children can relate and learn to navigate. Through these means, we support the heart-mind connection essential to developing the moral wisdom of children. We call this Heart Education.
